Unexpected Friend

Prologue

    A brown she-cat ran with a kit in her mouth. It was raining hard, very hard. The she-cat looked desperate. She turned around as the sound of Alley Cats came out of there trash cans. She ran, shye had to get her kit to safety.
I regret doing this, why did I have kittens, and only one survived. The little kitten was fasten with a collar that read Sammy. The mother cat ran into a Housefolk yard.
    She ran because her Housefolk wanted to take her kit away, send it to the vet, where her little kit could go anywhere. The mother cat wanted to bring her to a safer place. She saw her old childhood friend's Nest. Her friend would understand why she is doing this.
    She went up to the door, placed her kit down, and meow. Her friend, and beautiful silver tabby, came out of the cat door. She gasped, "Dutches, why have you come? Who's kit is this?" Dutches nodded to her friend in a welcome, "I brought my kit here, she was not safe to where she was going."
    The silver tabby picked up the kit, and muffled, "Don't worry Dutches; this kit will be safe with me. What's her name?" Dutches stood up, ready to go home, "Her name is Sammy, take care Rain." Rain nodded, and walked back into her nest. Dutches ran off to go back to her own Housefolk, and let on tear fall. She whispered to herself, "I hope when you find a mate Sammy, none of those kittens will get taken away from you."
